Geopolymer wall systems

Walls built from waste, not Portland cement.

CemNex replaces cement with geopolymer technology: interlocking, mortar-free blocks cast from slag, fly ash, glass fiber and other industrial by-products. Assemble, disassemble, relocate. A wall system designed to be reused, not demolished.

Applied research from KFUPM

Developed by a founding team of petroleum engineering and architecture researchers at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, Dhahran.

The problem

Portland cement is expensive on every axis that matters

Cement production accounts for roughly 7% of global CO₂ emissions and consumes enormous energy and virgin resources, while still degrading under extreme conditions: gas migration, stress cracking, moderate durability. CMU wall construction is slow, wet, and generates waste that can't be reused when a space changes.

Our solution

Geopolymer technology, delivered as a wall system

Geopolymers are made from natural or waste materials activated with alkaline solutions, with no clinker kiln and no cement. CemNex packages that chemistry into a product built on three levels.

Level 01

Geopolymer blocks

Interlocking, puzzle-piece units cast from industrial by-products. Dry-stacked, no mortar required, cured to structural strength.

Level 02

Complete dry-wall system

Blocks mount onto a track system for fast, standardized installation, cutting install time by up to 40%.

Level 03

Recyclable by design

Walls disassemble and relocate instead of being demolished, recovering up to 20% of asset value at end of life.

Feedstock library

Twelve materials, one binder chemistry

The mix design draws on whatever local waste or natural pozzolan is available on site, keeping logistics costs low and supply chains short.

The product

One solution, infinite layouts

Interior finished with CemNex interlocking wall blocks
  • All-in-one product

A single block replaces cement, mortar, and frame in conventional CMU construction, sourced from waste.

  • Assembly / disassembly

Walls install without wet trades, and come apart cleanly for reuse when a layout changes or a tenant moves.
